New Page on Wedsite

As we've started sending the invites (another batch heading out today), we thought it best to have an RSVP page on the Wedsite. So that's what I did last night while Simmi was downstairs listening to XfM, putting twenty-odd cards together.

You won't be able to do the RSVP online unfortunately, we'll be wanting those cards sent snail-mail I'm afraid. It's more in the way of an information page with Simmi's mum's address on it for anyone who needs to look it up quickly rather than scrabble around for the invite.

Overseas Invites

Simmi went to Blackfriars Road Post Office today with a pile of invites that were going overseas. They are now in the post and should be received this week, GPO willing. I think we managed to send at least one each to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. And of course, there were a fair few sent to Ireland too.

We'll be putting together the first of the UK invites tonight, so hopefully the first batch of them will go out this week.

Herself is getting more excited than Delaney's Donkey on a day-trip to Rosslare Strand!

First Invites given out

Well, it all starts to feel a little more real now as we've handed out the first Wedding Invitations.

Appropriately enough, it was at a family occasion. My cousin Linda's daughter Shannon was having her First Holy Communion in Crawley, so we thought it would be good to bring the invites for the people who would be there.

And the first people to get one? Step forward David Duffin and his other half Lorraine. How honoured they must feel!

Right, back to work. We've got a busy few evenings ahead of ussurrounded by mounds of card, vellum and ribbon.

First Invites

So, we've just made and sealed the first five invites into their envelopes, to be given out to some people tomorrow.

We're feeling quite pleased with ourselves.

Five down, about seventy-five to go.
